What I’m Loving – February 2014

I’m loving this last month before Summit. My calendar is crazy full and I feel like I’m constantly dashing from place to place – but I’m loving every minute of it. This is the last time I’ll be preparing for Summit with “my kids”, and I’m trying to enjoy it while it’s here. Having six of those kids trying to finish their work for their Citation award has added an extra element of craziness to the picture, but I’m loving that too. It’s hard to wrap my head around the fact that at some point in the next few weeks I’ll sign off the last Awana section that I’ll EVER sign off for this class of kids. How weird is that?

I’m loving my new job. It’s cool to see how God orchestrated things the way He did for me to end up where I am, and I’m thankful that He did even if the road getting here was rough. I have a great manager, great co-workers, interesting projects and amazing benefits (free flights anyone?).

I’m loving the Olympics. I seriously love watching the Olympics, and although I like the Summer games more than the Winter games, I’m still incredibly excited. Figure skating has been fantastic so far!

I’m loving this crazy Phoenix weather. 75-80 degrees in January and February? I’ll take it. I’m still buying my iced coffees at Dunkin Donuts before work.

On the flipside, when it has been cold…I’m loving that I can now control the thermostat without getting out of bed via Cox’s smartphone app. If I wake up and the room feels cold, I just turn the heater on and roll over for a few more minutes of sleep. Glorious.
