What I’m Loving {4/24/14}

This post is coming to you from Dallas! Yep, I’m back at American Airlines headquarters for a quick 48 hour trip. I can tell the humidity level by the frizziness of my hair.

I’m going to give up on my Five on Friday posts for now since Fridays aren’t good days for me to get posts up, and I’m going to go back to the “What I’m Loving” post format since I like that better. I did enjoy the randomness of the 5 on Fridays, so I might include some random ramblings at the end of my What I’m Loving lists if I feel like it.

What I’m Loving

I’m loving that I get to be in person for AA’s State of the Airline meeting today. Doug Parker (CEO of AA) does a quarterly meeting for all AA employees and Phoenix employees typically have to call into it, but today I get to be at headquarters to see it live. Being here makes me feel like I’m getting a sense for what the company culture is really like, and I’m just barely getting a grasp of what it’s like at US Airways, so watching the two merge is interesting.

I’m loving that it’s finally time to get started on my t-shirt quilt. Or rather, started on figuring out which shirts to put on my t-shirt quilt so that somebody else can help me make it! I’ll post pictures of it when it’s done in a few months.

I’m loving Biddy the hedgehog on Instagram. I discovered this account via another blog a couple of weeks ago and I’ve been enjoying the adorable updates in my Instagram feed ever since.

I’m loving National’s Emerald Aisle car rentals. More about that in my Laguna Beach post.

I’m loving saving 20% at Starbucks by buying discounted gift cards on Junkcard. I was hesitant at first, but I’ve done it three times now, and every time I transfer the e-giftcard to my Starbucks Gold card and continue to use that. Bottom line, it saves me 20% on all my Starbucks purchases. Plus I purchase the gift cards with my credit card and I earn 1% back from that, so it’s even better!

I’m loving a cute new song from Johnny Diaz called Thank God I Got Her. Sappy, yes, but fun.
