Thinking About Mexico

Have you ever perused an all-inclusive travel site and dreamed about potential trips? As someone who loves to travel I’ve done this often. I’m a planner and a detail person so more often than not I do my own trip planning. But I’m getting to the point where I’ve traveled so much this year that booking a trip where all the details get taken care of for me is sounding more and more appealing.

I’ve spent some time recently dreaming about taking a trip to a beach resort in Mexico. I’ve also come to realize that it’s getting a bit ridiculous that I’ve traveled extensively within the US and quite a bit in Europe, yet I’ve never been to either Canada or Mexico.

Mexico has an incredibly vibrant culture that I’ve never taken the time to explore. I’d love to learn more about the Mayans and early history of Mexico. It’s also a country full of well-preserved historic sites. In fact, I just learned that Mexico has more UNESCO World Heritage Sites than any other country in the Americas. It’s crazy to think that I’ve yet to make it to a single UNESCO site in Mexico!

And as someone who has lived in Phoenix for pretty much my entire life I’ve had my fair share of great Mexican food. However, I know that Mexico has more to offer than just tacos and burritos. I’d really love to taste some authentic food while actually being in Mexico as I’ve been told that the flavors are incredible. I’ve also heard that the range of good food, from street vender options to high-end sit down dinners all offer amazing experiences.

My travel style has always been to fit as much in as possible and I usually spend long days trekking around. The idea of going somewhere with a beach and relaxing sounds absolutely amazing to me right now. And staying at an all-inclusive resort sounds even more amazing. The only thing I’ve ever experienced that’s similar would be the one cruise I’ve been on. I think it would be a lot more fun to have a huge stretch of beach and expansive pools to explore while still having the benefits of a cruise ship. Food, anyone? Not to mention you get to set your own schedule for going exploring instead of following someone else’s schedule.

I was looking at First Choice’s Mexican resorts and started dreaming about taking a trip to Mexico’s east coast. Mexican Riviera? Sounds good to me! I’ve always wanted to visit a white sand beach and see Mayan ruins. But then I go back to looking at some of the west coast ones. I guess that’s the best part of looking at these types of sites – all the options to dream about!

Alright guys, thanks for listening to me dream about potential options for the future! Do you have any travel ideas that you dream about? Or do you have a favorite beach location in Mexico to recommend? I’d love any advice!

Thanks to First Choice for helping to bring you this post.
